PC World is reporting that Acer is readying a new 37 inch flat screen television with a built in media gateway. The television will be launched early next year and will cost over $2000.

The media gateway allows a variety of multimedia files to be played back directly on the LCD television. This includes videos, music, and photos. The television will be HD compatible and will support Dolby Digital, Digital Video Broadcasting, and video formats including Microsoft's WMV format.
