All the way from China comes a new tablet developed by HiPiKids and codenamed HiPiTouch, which will become available for purchase on September 2010 with an approximate price tag of $550.
Specification-wise the HiPiTouch tablet makes use of an Intel processor, has 8GB of internal storage capacity, and boasts a 10.1-inch screen with multitouch. Other features include WiFi, support for 3G, a couple of USB ports and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Since this is a tablet made for the kids, it has a Linux OS with an easy to use user-interface and has pre-installed games and applications.
