Since netboks are the new trend and will continue to be fresh during 2009, Hercules decided to upgrade the Le eCafe to a model codenamed EC-900.

Unlike the previous model EC-800, the new one has a decent screen that measures 8.9-inches, and uses a 6-cell battery instead of 4-cell. Since the EC-900 is made for using the internet, it doesn’t have any top-notch features. The most notable details are: microphone placed near the trackpad to make life easier for everyone that likes to chat via voice online, a SDHC memory card slot, and an upgraded processor when comparing to the previous model, which is now an Intel Atom N720 at 1.6Ghz. Priced at €330, approximately $425.
