Beginning May 8th, Helio will be shutting down their Hybrid EV-DO / Wi-Fi service. Users of the service will additionally still have access to Boingo Hotspots and 3G data service through May 7th. After the May 7th date, the cards will no longer work. A notice was post telling Helio customers that users are welcome to keep their cards, and accounts will be billed up to May 7th. If accounts have already been charged for service after May 7th, a refund will be issued.
