Hayao Miyazaki not liking the iPadBy Mark Rollins - 07/12/2010 5:11:12 PM |
This is Hayao Miyazaki, who owns Studio Ghibli, and has created some of the coolest animation films of all times like Spirited Away, Howl’s Moving Castle, and, one of my personal favorites, Castle in the Sky.
Miyazaki’s films mostly use 2-D, hand drawn animation, and he doesn’t seem to like technology. In fact, he revealed that he doesn’t own a computer or a DVD player. I think that perhaps a deliberate fasting from tech is admirable, but he said this about the iPad.
It’s disgusting. On trains, the number of those people doing that strange masturbation-like gesture is multiplying.
Okay, comparing the iPad to masturbation might see a little low. Or do iPad users deserve such a comment? I’ll just end this post now and let you be the judge.
