Harman/Becker BE 7977 GPS Gets FCC Nod

Harman/Becker's BE 7977 portable navigation device recently got approved by the FCC. Designed by Becker, the device has been manufactured by Mitac. As usual, the BE 7977 features a touch screen. Certain models also have integrated Bluetooth capabilities. It is equipped with an SD/MMC card reader.
It also features an on-board music player. For higher GPS sensitivity, an external antenna connector (optional) is provided. Something that's definitely required in cities with tons of high-rise buildings. (I'd have to tell you about my experience driving in downtown New York City, but I'll save that for the Garmin nuvi 200 review). A backlight ensures you can see the screen in low light conditions.
No word on the pricing yet, but the Harman/Becker BE 7977 should hit the markets soon.
