Harman Kardon GPS500 GPS Device
Harmon Kardon(yeah the speaker guys) are branching out and making their foray into the GPS navigation market. Thus we have the Harman Kardon GPS500 Satellite Navigation System which makes it debut soon and includes features like; a 4-inch widescreen display, a 2GB internal memory, easy-to-use GUI, and multimedia playback capabilities. Not bad for a first timer huh?
The Harman Kardon GPS500 promises to integrate navigation and multimedia applications seamlessly. Users can enjoy their content and view vital info on the 4-inch widescreen WQVGA LCD display. The device includes mini SD card support up to a 4GB capacity and supports MP3, MP4, WMA, ASF, WAV and OGG. One also comes across an USB 2.0 high-speed interface and a battery which has max life of 5 hours.
The Harman Kardon GPS500 comes bundled with pocket-sized portable windshield mount, carrying case, wall-mounted AC adapter, in-car cigarette-lighter cable and should retail for around 500 bucks in March.
Convergence of GPS and multimedia systems in a single device is of growing importance to consumers, but most combination GPS/multimedia systems on the market today lack many of the features music-browsing control and capability, for one found in a single device, said Mike Giffin, president of the Mobile Systems Division for Harman Consumer Group. The Guide + Play GPS-500 can be used while driving, working or relaxing, offering consumers ultimate mobility by enabling them to take their music collections on the road, watch movies on a plane or use the navigation system to find the nearest gas station or restaurant.
Stumble It!
