09 Nov 09 Hands on Review of the Motorola i465 from Boost Mobile

Motorola’s i465 is supposedly a messaging phone, and I suppose it is designed for the IM generation. At first I thought the keyboard was too small for this, but I actually got used to it very quickly.

I was also surprised that the camera is taking quality stills, but I’m having a hard time finding the supposed Media Center where I can do video capture. All in all, I suppose you could call it a poor-man’s BlackBerry once you have Web access.

The i465 is available from Boost for about $99.99.

I think this phone is a piece of JUNK… period! (not a surprise for motorola phones)

Don’t waste your money. Get a Nextel Blackberry and convert it to Boost instead. This is the BEST way to get a real phone with an unlimited service.

I just found out my phone is unable to download videos from internet. The day before this I found out Boost Mobil phones will not download any free ringtone!!!!! You or I must pay $3.00 for each tone and it isn’t even a life long investment. Boost will only allow me to have the tone for 1 year, then I have to buy another one. I have the i465 and it is the worst phone I’ve ever had. Boost offers no three-way calling features. I feel I should’ve stayed with metro. The only good thing is my boyfriend loves the walkie-talkie so that I guess is okay. I personally would like to have the freedom to pick and choose my own personal ringtones and send them to my phone, not an options with Boost. And videos aren’t an opption with my i465.
