Haier ibiza Rhapsody Wi-Fi Portable Music Player

Haier America announced the new ibiza Rhapsody Wi-Fi portable media player which allows consumers to access the Rhapsody digital music service, along with AOL Video and other content using an available Wi-Fi hotspot. With literally millions of songs available for Rhapsody users, the ibiza Rhapsody could be a neat travel add-on. There's also a partnership with AOL Video, where you get free access to user-generated videos. Not quite live TV, but on-demand entertainment nonetheless.

Currently, the ibiza Rhapsody is available in a 30GB model. Apart from video playback, it includes an FM radio tuner. Featuring a 2.5 inch QVGA LCD display, the device is compatible with 802.11 b/g wireless networks and supports WEP/WPA for security. For syncing data, the PMP offers a USB 2.0 mini-B connector - and this doubles up as a charging connector.

Apart from the 30GB model, Haier will soon unveil 4/8GB flash memory models, and the players will be available through Amazon. Expect them this holiday season. The 30GB model also boasts stereo Bluetooth compatibility, so you can use your existing wireless headphones with it.
