Hackers run Facebook, Twitter and more on NookBy Jeff Baker - 12/17/2009 4:54:01 PM |

Now a days, when a company releases a new device onto the market, it’s only a matter of time until the hacking community has their way with it. Barnes & Noble’s Nook is no different, in fact considering it runs on Google’s Android operating system, hackers had a whole library of software at their porting disposal.
Said hackers were able to get a web browser, a Facebook app and a Twitter app running on the nook. Couple that with device’s free 3G connection and you have yourself an able mobile computing device. Unfortunately, Engadget reports that a port of Google Maps failed due to complications with the Nook’s native version of Android, bummer.
