Did you bother to mention that of the @500 million CDMA subscribers that only about 25% are in NA? That leaves @350M in ROW with the loin's share (@250M) in Asia and significant numbers in SA too. China Telecom and KDDI (Japan) are two of the world's largest CDMA operators, both in Asia. Did you know there are CDMA deployments in Europe too? Yes, GSM has the majority of the market and LTE will be the converged standard of the future, but until then don't fool yourself into thinking that CDMA is an NA only protocol.
