Let’s do something for the environment! That’s something the top five handset makers are going to do. They have just launched a ”how to save energy while charging your phone” plan, by creating a common energy rating system which will allow you to choose the right kind of charger for you.

The new rating system will offer chargers with ranges from zero stars referring to the most energy consuming charger up to five stars for the ”greenest” ones. So you’ll be able to replace your common Nokia, Sony Ericsson, Motorola, Samsung and LG chargers with the charger you want.

This way we’ll all be able to charge our handsets and do something for Mother Earth, all at the same time! What more can you ask for?
