GPS navigation for Maemo handsetsBy Tony - 03/21/2010 10:18:02 PM |
Maemo handsets didn’t have a good option when it came the time to use a GPS navigation system, but that is when Sygic Mobile Maps joins the party and makes the Maemo have its own navigation system.
In case you didn’t know Sygic Mobile Maps is the same software that is used in other platforms, like the iPhone, but the good news is that Nokia N900 owners will be able to use it and take advantage of its good features such as the voice guided directions, lane assisting, a few million points of interest, and more.
The Sygic Mobile Maps app for Maemo devices is available in Europe and costs €60 – close to $81. It comes pre-loaded with most maps of Western and Eastern Europe.
