All The Latest Cell Phone and Mobile Electronics News

Just a few days ago, word on the net was that Google might already have a mobile phone in development, which was confirmed by Isabel Aguilera (Google CEO of Spain and Portugal). Now, another Google big-wig is squashing any such rumors of a Google Phone.
Richard Kimber, South-East Asia Managing Director of Sales & Operations at Google, has issued a statement that Google currently has no interest in entering the mobile handset market, and is at this time only interested in creating software for use with mobile phones.
My thought is this: if Google wanted to issue a definitive statement to put an end to all the rumors, it would be one made one of the big guys himself - either Sergey Brin, Larry Page, or Eric Schmidt. I find it highly unlikely that they’d let international execs spill the beans over any of those three. Until we hear something from them, it’s just more fuel for the fire and the perpetuation of interest in the future Google Phone.
