Google’s Android Dev Phone 1 Update Is Available

Google has just released Android 1.1 for the unlocked version of G1. It will fix POP3 accounts among other things and it will also get involved in the way you access paid apps on your Android Dev Phone 1. Paid applications will be supported but you won’t be able to access any of them as long as they are protected by Android’s copy protection features. That means you will have access only to those paid apps that don’t come with copy protection. What will you choose then? A totally unlocked G1 with little access to paid applications or a G1 with a contract and with full access to all paid applications?
