It looks like Google has also upgraded iGoogle for the same mobile platforms. The new version is currently in beta and it will bring you tabs support and various gadgets:

One of our favourite new features is the in-line display of articles for feed-based gadgets. That means you can read article summaries without leaving the page. You can also rearrange gadget order or keep your favourite gadgets open for your next visit.
