Google Earth goes 3D

Now this is why I report on technology. Because every once in a while, some new development comes along that gives us a view of the future.

Google Earth allows a 3D view of New York right now to the street level. Granted, the cars are flattened like they were run over with a steamroller, but the store fronts are downright realistic.

I want to know how they did this.
