Google buys Picnik online image editor

Google has had the Picasa online photo managing application for some time now but what you can’t do in the application is edit photos. Luckily, Google has billions of dollars which means they can acquire just about any company they want to.

And acquire they have, the recent announcement details the acquisition of Picnik, an online image editior. There’s no official word but Picknik will most likely be merged into Picasa giving Google users an even wider array of online tools to use. I wonder what is next for Google.
