Google Bends iPhone App Rules with Latest Google Mobile AppBy Chris - 11/27/2008 11:11:14 AM |

Google has just launched its new Google Mobile App for the iPhone and iPod touch but you know all that. What you didn’t know is that Google managed to bend a few Apple app rules when it created it and Apple is not down with that. Which is weird since Apple allowed BdEmailer in its store, an email application which is similar to the iPhone’s default mail.
Google’s mobile app has been removed from the App Store as it’s exploiting the proximity sensor and breaching the API. I guess that’s the price to pay for having a search by voice applications. What will happen next? Google and Apple have to fight it out or come to mutually beneficial agreement. Just in case you are creating your own apps, make sure you’re not breaking the API. You’re not Google!
