Google acquires DocVerseBy Jeff Baker - 03/06/2010 2:28:36 PM |

It seems that Google isn’t slowing their company buying roll anytime soon. The search engine giant’s latest purchase is DocVerse a small company that will let Microoft Office play nicely with Google Docs.
Currently, you can upload a Microsoft Office document to Google Docs but with DocVerse’s expertise, Google can actually implement their service right into Microsoft Office. Google Blog comments on the acquisition:
DocVerse is a small, nimble team of talented developers who share our vision, and they’ve enabled true collaboration right within Microsoft Office. With DocVerse, people can begin to experience some of the benefits of web-based collaboration using the traditional Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint desktop applications.
