Golden Shaolin Budha Handset: Ridiculous or Religious?

Mixing culture and technology can lead to delight or even disaster. Such is the case of this Golden Shaolin Buddha mobile phone manufactured in China. No, it’s not an ultra-expensive handset like Vertu. Although it is plated with 24K gold to look more expensive, its actual look and feel failed miserably for anyone can mistake this handset for a cheap toy.

Even if it is equipped with camera, touchscreen, microSD support, and comes with Buddha contents and backgrounds, these are not enough to save this handset from becoming a complete disaster. As an advice to some manufacturers in China dying to develop luxurious-looking handsets, here’s a design philosophy for you: simple is elegant. For the love of Buddha, don’t overdo your phones!
