General Dynamics Itronix VR-2 GoBook Semi-Rugged Notebook PC

General Dynamics Itronix unveiled the GoBook VR-2, its next-gen semi-rugged notebook PC equipped with Intel Core 2 Duo processor T7300 running at 2GHz and highly ergonomic features.

Targeted at mobile workers and/or field agents in commercial/military/public safety areas, the GoBook VR-2 comes with a 13.3" display with DynaVue, a patent-pending display technology that allows for comfortable viewing in all lighting conditions - including broad daylight.

The touchscreen display eliminates internal reflections that wash out such displays, while DynaVue improves direct sunlight contrast ratio for improved viewability.

Weighing in at 6.2 pounds, it can withstand a rated 6 drops from 30 inches. Now, kids, don't go about dropping your VR-2s. Integrated WWAN, Bluetooth Class 2 connectivity and 802.11 a/b complete the feature list.

Priced at US $3,500 for the base configuration. More info in the extended entry.
