Garmin to sell tour maps

|

garmin-lo.jpgAs if creating a limited edition of a GPS system with the pink color isn't enough, Garmin decided to come up with a plan to sell maps on their website, with the help of Mad Maps. As you can imagine, these aren't the normal type of maps you are used to see, which are preloaded on certain systems. The data will be available at the Garmin website and is compatible with the Garmin nuvi, and zumo.

There are 3 different kinds of maps:
- US Regional Touring Series, priced at $12 per map, and made for the long journeys. Inside there are 24 maps with 25 to 35 routes each.

- Get Outta Town Series, priced at $7 per map, with the big city not being part of the pans. It includes 25 maps with 5 to 7 routes each.
- Rally Run Series, priced at $7 per map, made for the motorcycle rallies fans. Comes with 4 maps and 5 routes for each.
