Ridge Racer 6 Speeds to Retailers Nationwide; The Next Generation has Arrived as Acclaimed Drift Racing Series is Now Available for Xbox 360 Xbox 360 that catapults gamers into the next generation of high definition racing gets another boost when leading game developer and publisher Namco Hometek announced that Ridge Racer 6 Xbox 360 has shipped to retail outlets throught North America. With next generation graphics, Ridge Racing continues nerve cracking drift racing action.

For the first time in Ridge Racer history, there is an online gameplay mode. The game runs at a constant 60 frames per second. The players are led through a breathtaking selection of high-speed courses throughout the world, from neon-drenched cityscapes to dramatic coastline vistas. With an unprecedented sense of speed, slick graphics and more than 130 cars that let players enjoy every hairpin drift and high-speed straightaway like never before, the game delivers most intense and immersive drift racing experience yet.

Players can compete in the game’s World Xplorer mode, entering races to unlock new cars, prizes, and brand new routes. By performing successful high-speed drifts, players will fill up their Nitrous Gauge to unleash a powerful burst of speed to pass opponents and secure victory. "Ridge Racer 6" evolves the nitrous system even further, allowing players to build up their Nitrous Gauge for even more explosive double and triple boosts of speed resulting in more exhilaration and enjoyment in negotiating courses. With the online mode, players can choose to compete in a wide selection of different modes for up to 14 players, with voice chat support, including Rank Match and Player Match.
