State of Emergency 2 video game

BAM! Entertainment today announced that State of Emergency 2 is scheduled to release in Feb. 2006. Developed by DC studios, finally nabbed a US publisher and is putting the finishing touches on the long-delayed action game. The game boasts of a more realistic approach to the crowd-based mayhem first made popular by Rockstar Games almost half a decade ago. State of Emergency 2 is vastly better than its predecessor, which was not too popular among gamers. So less said about its' prdeccessor, the better it is.

The game is an outright violence and action packed game. In SOE2( State Of Emergency 2), there is a city being run by a group of militaristic police called Enforcers. Though people of the city don't like these Enforcers, they don't have any choice other than to keep mum about it. Your aim is to get people around the city riled up, and to overthrow the rule of the Enforcers. This can be done by killing Enforcers and blowing up their cars, which pumps the crowd up as they stand around the blazing car, their fists in the air. You can also enlist the help of some of your fellow disenfranchised youths. You can have over 30 members in your gang, and it's funny to see them firing on the Enforcers, which sort of makes you feel as somekind of a gang leader. Cool isn't it!. Most of the levels, take place at night which makes it a lot darker than the previous one.

There are 4 controllable characters in SoE2. Everyone's favorite gangbanger Spanky is back, and badder than ever. The character models appear to have been kicked up a notch, and you can really make out the tattoos that cover Spanky's body. The other character is McNiel, a former cop and weapon's expert. You can beat people to death with your bare hands, hack them up with a machete, or use any number of guns to put large holes in them and also tear a leg off of a member of the crowd and use it to beat the daylights out of another. The blood flows freely in this game and it looks more realistic here making it a violent game. Certainly, not for the light hearted ones. There is no information about the multiplayer mode yet.

SOE 2 is rated "M" mature and priced at $39.99. For more game information, check out Playstation's website

Kaileena is captured by the enemies and she is killed and the vizier unleashes sands of time upon Babylon. Players will have to step into the role of Prince and must battle to regain his kingdom and avenge Kaileena's death. The gamers get a chance to explore the two different sides of the Prince's divided soul. Throught the game Prince will morph back and forth between his normal self and the Dark Prince. There is also internal dialogues between his split personalities with two different voices.

The game features include, Play and master two distinct characters, the Prince and the Dark Prince, the expanded Free-Form Fighting system lets you choose the way you kill, Dominate enemies on the perilous rooftops, dodge through chaotic streets, and ambush pursuers in dark underground passageways, manipulate time to surprise enemies and action combat, agility and story-driven puzzles. Also, award winning composer Inon Zur to score Prince Of Persia The Two Thrones soundtrack. With all these features blended together, the game is all set to deliver a thrilling and rich gaming experience for all the awaiting POP fans. I've been a die hard fan of Prince of Persia franchise. I've played all the versions so far, from the first 2d version of the game to Warrior within. But the Two Thrones, with its 12-15 hour campaign will defnitely stay in fans' minds for a longtime.
