Fujitsu isn’t happy with Intel playing more and more with the WiMAX module market and it’s ready for action. Fujitsu Microelectronics, which basically is a supplier of semiconductor products including WiMAX has partnered up with other Taiwanese PC and mobile peripherals makers. Their ultimate goal is to include WiMAX modules in various mobile devices in the near future. That’s good news for all laptop and smartphone owners looking that missing WiMAX built-in module in their life.

Fujitsu will release the first WiMAX chips sometime early 2009. As for partners, they have signed agreements with Universal Scientific Industrial (USI), Delta Networks, Accton Technology and CyberTAN Technology.

Well good luck Fujitsu. Looking forward to review some of your WiMAX work. Make me proud.
