Remember how Jerry Seinfeld committed to start advertising for Microsoft’s Windows Vista for the neat price of $10 million? Well the first commercial is up and running. Jerry Seinfeld and Bill Gates start talking about Microsoft and their solution for a “chewey computer” after talking about shoes.
Is this how Microsoft is going to pull off the miracle they want? Microsoft’s SVP Bill Veghte said in an email to employees that the goal of the whole campaign is to inspire consumers while telling them “tell the story of how Windows enables a billion people around the globe to do more with their lives today.” The first commercial is an ice-breaker and it will make consumers talk about Microsoft in a fun and humorous way.
I certainly want to see what’s coming up. I like Seinfeld and I really like Windows a lot.
