Fraunhofer presents audio and video improvements for Androids

logo-fraunhoferFraunhofer has announced a few interesting improvements for devices that run the Android OS.

These new improvements made by Fraunhofer are related to audio and video features. For example, the MPEG-4 HE-AAC v2 codec is now supported on the Android platform, which means you can listen and watch videos with this codec that is suppose to have better quality than others.

The MPEG Surround feature is also now supported, which offers CD-Quality sound and you’re able to stream audio over other networks. According to Fraunhofer these codecs have been made to use low-energy consumption.
