Firefly glowPhone R100 Gets FCC Approval

Firefly Mobile's new children's mobile phone, the Firefly glowPhone R100, got the approval from the FCC. Targeted at kids, the mobile phone has been designed with the specific intention of making calls alone and texting, and pretty much nothing else. So much that it does not even include Bluetooth but instead provides a good old headset port where you can plug in the accessory. It does, however, have a apeakerphone. For the kids, it has got handy shortcut keys called the Mom Call key and Dad Call key where the parents can set a pre-programmed number for quick dialing.
There are a few games available on the phone. It features the ability to change ringtones or wallpapers. In the Flashlight mode, the phone turns on all of the glowPhone lights. There's also text messaging support.
No word on the pricing or availability yet.
