Fandango to sell movie tickets via barcodes

fandango-logoThe popular website Fandango has started to sell movie tickets in the form of bar codes. In other words, customers can scan the ticket on a computer using the mobile phone and afterwards the tickets are “delivered” via scanning as well, at the ticket booth on the theaters.

At the moment this special offer is limited to a number of theaters and include a few ones in New York, Dallas, San Diego, and other states. As you can imagine, the price of a paper ticket is the same as this digital version in 2-D bar codes.
