Facebook and Google Sued for Social Networking PatentPatents, patents and patents! This seems to be a touchy issue today and now Facebook and Google are being sued by Wireless Ink Corp. from New York for infringing one of its patents related to software that allows users to access social networking sites on their cell phones.

This patent is US Patent No. 7,599,983 which was issued in October, 2009. It was entitled “Method, Apparatus and System or Management of Information Content for Enhanced Accessibility over Wireless Communications Networks.” This same app is said to be used for Google Buzz. Google and Facebook execs are currently reviewing the said complaint.
