The last we heard of the Facebook version 3.0 iPhone/iPod touch app was towards the beginning of July. Today, it was announced that the update has officially hit the App Store with some intersting features.

What you’ll notice first upon updating the software is that the entire UI has been reworked to allow for easier browsing. Another important update is that it features a built-in browser so you can view links posted by your buddies right in the application without having to open Safari.

We’ve included the full list of updates after the break but the best way to experience the new Facebook app is to get it yourself.
