Fabrik starts shipping 250GB SimpleTech SimpleDrive

Fabrik, the popular company that produces external hard-drives, has came out with another device, this time being a portable 250GB hard-drive on the SimpleTech SimpleDrive category.

Like it happens with other external hard-drives on the market, this one is also designed by Pininfarina, the Italian people that designed Ferraris among other famous cars. They claim some high numbers in terms of how many different files the drive can support, such as: 19 hours of HD video, 18 thousand photos, 63 thousand songs and 270 hours of SD video. Of course that it all depends on the final quality of the file and these numbers might be little bit exaggerated.

The SimpleDrive storage solutions has 2 interesting specifications: inclusion of back up software - StorageSync, and 2GB of space for free, online, at MyFabrik.com.

The prices can go from $200 for a 250GB version, or $100 for 80GB. The different colors match specific capacities - sapphire - 80GB, onyx - 120GB, red - 160GB, and the new charcoal gray -250GB.
