Everun Note Notebook Gets UpgradesBy Chris - 10/11/2008 2:32:52 PM |

Everun Note from Raon Digital is a notebook I haven’t paid enough attention to. And it looks like the model will get some important upgrades like a new hard drive option and a cheaper price. Everun Note used to cost $879 and it had a 60GB hard drive.
The new netbook versions, and we have two of those, will come with SSD storage and they will be cheaper. The D24S gets a 24GB split-capacity SSD. There’s 8GB fast SLC and 16GB standard MLC flash memory. The S16S will get a 12GB MLC SSD and it will come with Ubuntu instead of the regular XP.
Unfortunately the S16 will have a Sempron CPU running at 1.2GHz instead of the dual-core AMD Turion.
Prices? Well the S16S will sell for $659 and the D24S will sell for $950. That’s still expensive! And the prices don’t include tax! Next!
