I don’t know how much you really need an e-Book reader, especially with the financial crisis on. But if you do, the eSlick is a cheaper alternative and it’s supposed to arrive sometime early next year. In case you don’t want to pay the price of a Kindle from Amazon then eSlick might be the way to go.

The eSlick will come with an introductory price of $230 in February or March and then it will cost you up to $260 to get one. The reader has pretty basic features: E-ink technology, 2GB SD card, PDF concerter and viewer from Foxit. The eSlick is quite the basic reader you might want to get.
