Ericsson and Dell are going to implement smart 3G and 3.5G support solutions in future Dell laptops. It’s estimated that by 2010 each year approximately 200 million laptops will be sold. That’s impressive at least!

What do all those customers have in common? Mobility. Ultimately every person buying a notebook so they can take it with them. Whether for work or solely for fun, being able to move your data and to access them at any given time is a blessing. And with better and better power solutions for those batteries, and with thinner and faster laptops it’s no wonder that so many people have at least one notebook at their disposal.

Ericsson knows also what mobility means, and from their cell-phone experience they are aware of people’s needs when it comes to quality, connectivity and internet access. They will help Dell integrate their HSPA chipsets for fast, anytime and anywhere internet connections. With WiFi spots coming around the corner, you won’t need a mobile device and a couple of cords to get you online.

Let’s see what notebooks from Dell’s collection are to be pimped up with these 3G solutions.
