Ericsson Partners with Lenovo

|

No, it won't be called Lenovo-Ericsson, but Ericsson has partnered with Lenovo to embed the former's HSPA mobile broadband modules in the latter's ThinkPad line of notebooks. The inclusion of High Speed Packet Access means that we'd be seeing DSL speeds on the ThinkPad soon. This is the first time Ericsson's technology would be used for a laptop. Other than DSL speeds, the mobile broadband modules, which use Ericsson's HSPA chipset technology, save battery life as they consume less power. Lenovo is only one of the companies Ericsson has decided to offer its mobile broadband modules too. They're also working with three out of the top seven PC makers although their names are yet to be revealed.
