Epson PowerLite 720 - Home Cinema Projector
In addition to the previously mentioned Panasonic PT-AE2000E LCD projector, the people from Epson decided to announce their newest home theater projector, called PowerLite 720. This projector that is able to play HD videos has a nice price when comparing to others, it “only” costs $1,300 and will start the shipment by the end of this month.
The overall quality is rather good, providing a 720p resolution which means 1280x720 pixels. The 10-bit color processing and 10,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio can be achieved thanks to the 3-LCD chipset. In terms of brightness, the Epson projector also has a good number - 1,600 lumen, while on the other hand there are 1,024 grayscale levels.
In case you want to place the projector in a not-so-good spot, don't worry because the offset value of the lens can go to 100% vertically, or 50% horizontally. As always, there are HDMI ports for the HD content, and also RCA and S-video for the analog content.
