The Japanese manufacturer, Kyocera, has come up with a futuristic phone that changes shape from a clamshell to a wallet or clutch-purse. Nicknamed the “EOS,” the concept folding phone incorporates a flexible OLED display surrounded by a soft and semi-rigid polymer casing.
Housed in a neat, compact design, the concept phone offers great adaptability, thanks in part to the flexible screen that unfolds to reveal the widescreen display. Furthermore, the EOS doesn’t need any battery, because the phone translates kinetic energy into an electric charge via an range of nano-scale piezoelectric generators when it physically interacts with the user. When not in use this sleek design can hide the keyboard.
