I’ve lost count on the number of times I have bumped into people and trashcans while texting or emailing on foot, and if there was an Email’n'Walk app for WinMo or Symbian, it would have been great.  But Phase2Media’s Email’n'Walk app is available only for the iPhone as of now, so at least some people should be safe while out on their morning walks.  This app uses the video from the iPhone’s camera as the background for your email composition window (no SMS support), helping you keep an eye out for obstacles in your path, although with the phone’s lowly 2mpx camera, I am not sure how effective this would turn out to be.  But you never know till you try it out, so look for it on the App Store and get it for free.
