eMachines already had some good computers, like the EL1200 Slim Tower, or the T5226 Desktop, but from a laptop point of view there is a new product codenamed eMD620-5777.
The latest 14.1-inch laptop from eMachines sports an AMD Athlon 2650e processor running at 1.6GHz, and 1GB of memory RAM plus 160GB on the hard-drive. One of the most important details of this notebook is the price, it can be considered cheap because it only costs $430.
The ATI Radeon x1200 is in charge of the graphics department, which can support up to 1919MB of ATI HyperMemory. The usual specs on laptops, like Wi-Fi, and a SuperMulti DVD-R/RW drive are also part of the deal.
The eMachines eMD620-5777 is available at BestBuy.

[...] people that have a Bentley can afford this exclusive laptop, but it wouldn’t make much sense to buy it because for the price of it, you can buy 4 or 5 [...]
I bought this notebook about a week ago and it`s great.
But you have to outfit it with 2GB memory as a minimum because Vista likes more memory as being a resource hog.
Also use the latest graphic drivers from ATI and under the device manager-disk drives, don`t forget to turn on advanced performance under the policies tab.
With all of the above done, this neat pc runs like a charm and it will give you lots of responsiveness for so less money.
Also, one great feature of this machine is the fact that you can swap the processor, which is sits in a AM2 slot, with a much faster AMD Athlon X2 5050e if you want to.
Every AMD processor that uses less than 50 watts of juice are usable without creating to much heat.
Well, it surely degrades your battery life but isn’t great?
