Elmo and Nokia join forces for StoryPlayBy Mark Rollins - 10/29/2009 1:48:21 PM |

This wooden device is from Nokia, and is known as the Storyplay. It’s not really an e-reader per se, but it holds a real book, such as the Sesame Street classic The Monster at the End of the Book. The screen on the left is continuous footage of Elmo reading the book, and the screen on the right a relative (not Max Headroom) on a live feed.
The purpose of this device is for long distance family relationships. So if Grandma lives in Florida and you live California, she can still read to little junior from all the way over there. Assuming she can figure out how to work the camera on the other end. See a video of it after the jump.
