What’s wrong with you Asus people? You have already announced the Eee Box PC. We get it. Your making a whole Eee line of products. We get it. It sounds cool but it isn’t necessarily. Am I to understand people aren’t making such a fuss over the Eee PC like they did with the Eee PC 701?
Do you need more attention?
So that was it ha? I mean sure the Eee PC 701 was a huge hit. A cheap affordable laptop. That’s what we want. That’s a concept others are experimenting with and, quite frankly they’re getting better at it.
But an affordable and portable PC? How many people want to carry their PC? I know, I know! It’s all of us buying more laptops.
So the Eee Box PC was announced at Computex 2008, and it just got announced again via a press release. This time they don’t mention the prices and there’s still no release date. All the other details are there. The Eee Box PC is a good deal. You get a a 1.6GHz Intel Atom N270 processor, 1GB of DDR2 RAM, 80GB hard drive, WiFi draft-n and gigabit ethernet. With Linux it should come at only $269 while with Windows you’d pay $299.
Hopefully somewhere in July we’ll be able to see the Eee Box PC hit the retailers so we can take an actual look at it.
