I am no designer or artist to actually need a tablet PC, but if this dual touchscreen laptop gets real anytime soon, I’d sure love to take one home. We would be a perfect fit.
V12 Design is an Italian design agency which apparently developed this concept over four years ago. If that’s all true, how come no one managed to actually create it?
The prototype in the picture is called Canova and it was “developed for creative types”. It was made of stainless steel and carbon fiber. And here’s the interesting part. V12 is working with a US manufacturer for the second generation of the Canova. This laptop is coming in about 16 months and I am sure it will be a fantastic PC
There’s going to be multi touch input, a haptic feedback keyboard, a built in microphone for voice recognition and probably much more.
The only question is who’s going to release it? What’s the US manufacturer involved? Remember Computex 2008? Asus had a similar prototype displayed. Are we in for a race to the first dual multi touchscreen laptop?
