Droid X Android 2.2 Update Due in SeptemberBy Jeff Baker - 08/06/2010 2:17:06 PM |

Well Droid X users, it seems that you’ll be getting the short end of the stick a bit when it comes to Android 2.2. While other devices are receiving the update early this month (like the HTC EVO 4G) the Droid X won’t be receiving the update until supposedly next month.
The reason we know this is because a Motorola employee recently took to the company’s official forums to drop the following tidbit:
Some Droid X users are experiencing an issue using Exchange 2003 email. Though the email is arriving on the Droid X, no notifications are appearing. A fix for this will be included in the upgrade to Android 2.2 scheduled for deployment by early September.
Unfortunately, while it’s straight from a Motorola employee’s mouth this isn’t exactly an official announcement so in theory, it may be wrong, but in reality, it probably isn’t.
