The Motorola DROID has seen countless delays when it comes to getting updated to Android 2.1. Luckily, if you’re sick of waiting there is now a manual upgrade option for you to utilize. The update process seems simple enough, all you’re going to have to do is grab a file from Google, rename it and put it on a microSD card and then reboot your device to recovery mode.

Of course, if you don’t believe us you can check out the full instructions here.
