A few days ago we let you know that the Motorola DROID would be getting updated to Android 2.1 at some point in the near future. Well, there’s no arguing that considering it is pretty much inevitable. However, rumors regarding the update spurred by a Facebook update said it would be pushed out sometime next week.

Well now, the internet is a buzz over the fact that the update may have possibly been delayed. This buzz started when BGR got word from a Motorola forums manager that the information on facebook was “prematurelty released” and that all content on the Motorola website has been pulled.

So what gives Motorola? When are we going to be seeing Android 2.1 on the DROID?
