We covered the Motorola Droid 2 before, and much of what we learned is speculation and hearsay. For example, it will have Froyo.

From what my Source says, the Droid 2 will have a special R2-D2 edition, with a picture of the famous droid on the back. It would appear that Droid is embracing its Lucasfilm roots with this one.

I believe that it will be launching on August 12.
