Dog jacket uses solar power to charge mobile devices

There are a lot of solar-powered chargers for mobile devices out these days, but none like Erik Schiegg’s dog coat. As you can see from the video, it is designed so you can take your pooch for a walk and charge your MP3 player, phone, portable gaming station, or camera with a 2600 mA solar charger.

The inventor uses it to charge his Android phone quite quickly, but personally, I think that if you want to charge your mobiles faster, then you will have to harness the power of the dog’s energy. I think we all know that this is a limitless power source.

Until then, we have Erik Schiegg’s solar-powered contraption which should sell for about $60.
