DigitalRise S1 Slate joins the tablet community

digitalrise-s1-slateYes, there are a lot of digital tablets coming out lately. DigitalRise is putting out the S1 Slate, which is a cheaper version of the multitouch X9.

The S1 has a 10.2 display with 1024×600 resolution, an Intel Atom N270 1.6GHz, 1GB RAM, 160GB on the hard drive, 3000mAh lithium-ion battery, a 1.3 megapixel webcam, Wi-Fi, and Windows 7.

This could be a response to Apple’s iSlate which is suspected to be officially announced in two days in California. Wouldn’t it be funny if Apple didn’t announce the iSlate? Then all these companies that are trying to get their tablets out there would be wasting their time.

Well, if you want this S1, be prepared to lay down $630 for it.
